Once you have signed up your account, you’ll be ready to start customizing your character using the Second Life Avatar Editor. There are literally thousands of configurations that you can use to completely customize your avatar. Whether you want it to reflect your own persona, or you’re going for something completely different, it is a lot of fun to try out different options for your avatar. Here are some tips on how to get the most out of the SL avatar editor.
First, you’ll need to download the avatar that you want to start with. This will the base model for your configurations. Once you have that done, the first place to start is the overall appearance of your Second Life avatar. You’ll be able to select different facial characteristics, eye color and hair color in this step. It is best to take your time with this step to make sure that you get everything right.
