Even if you’re in the middle of winter where you live its always sunny and warm somewhere in the Second Life world. Second Life is preparing for Spring Break by gathering the hottest beaches and outdoor club spots to feature in the Destination Guide and in the March edition of The Sandbox newsletter.
For next month’s edition of The Sandbox, Second Life was casting beachwear models for the March Look of the Month. This is an opportunity for members to show off their SL Avatars that they have worked so hard to create and perfect.
Does your Second Life Avatar have what it takes to be featured as the Look of the Month? If not, luckily there are resources available to ensure that your Avatar can be picture perfect in time for the next contest.
Second Life Avatar Editors
Second Life tools such as avatar editors are very useful programs that will help you to easily create your perfect Avatar. If you’re envisioning a specific look in your head a Second Life avatar editor will help you bring that look to life.
Second Life Mods
Second Life mods are also available for you to use. Mods are addons that will let you create a highly customized Avatar to help you achieve any look your going for.

One February 14 (Valentine’s Day) HBO will be featuring a documentary called When Strangers Click: Five Stories from the Internet. There is a lot of excitement and anticipation in the SL world since this is the game that will be featured the documentary.
The film presents several stories about people finding love online. One of which is the Second Life story of how a talented musician met a woman at an in-world performance and how their worlds changed dramatically after this chance encounter.
While most members of Second Life may never meet anyone that will change their live that significantly, it is a game based largely around socialization so having friends is an important aspect of the game.
The film is being credited for realistically presenting the virtual world and its possibilities. Second Life does receive its share of criticism so it will be refreshing to see the game viewed in the more positive manner it deserves.
In a game that is so similar to our real word it is very important to be connected with other people. This can also be done outside the game in online chat rooms and Second Life forums. Not only is it important for you to have trustworthy friends for social reasons but knowing the right people can also mean a world of difference in terms of job opportunities, getting SL tips to help you out, and just having someone there that you can depend on.
This is not a game designed to play solo, get connected today.
