Making SL Money- Take The Gamble

Last week we discussed Second Life tips to making money with little effort. Aside from camping, another way of making lindens easily is Freeplay. Second life Freeplay is playing one of the many types of in-game machines such as Zyngo Wild or Deal Extreme. You try to beat the high score to earn SL linden dollars.
Like camping, Freeplyay games are used to try to increase traffic to gaming parlors and such. There are two types of SL Freeplay payouts:
Instant payout- you instantly win money when you beat a high score
Timed payout- The high score of the day wins money
Second Life Freeplay has been around even before the gambling ban. Some people consider it a form of gambling since the land owner of where the games are played can temper with the probability of winning simply by adjusting the high score. Games that cost a bit more to play also tend to have higher return rates. Many compare Freeplay to “games of chance” such as those seen in gambling cities.
Freeplay is a fun way to earn some lindens but on the downside, payouts are usually low so its basically useful only if you just want to kill some time or find a game you really like.
If you are a risk taker that is looking for easy ways to make money that have higher return rates than try some Second Life cheats instead. These can show you ways to making money and advancing faster than normally possible.

How To Make Second Life Linden Dollars - Camping

Camping in SL is one of the easiest and common methods to earn Second Life linden dollars. Linden Lab got stricter with campers a few years ago; however, it still remains largely popular. Here are three types of camping.
General Camping
The way general Second Life camping works is simple, in exchange for some money, your avatar sits in one place and creates traffic for land or shop owners. With Linden Lab clamping down on camping that payouts have gotten smaller over time but it’s still a real easy way to make a few extra lindens.
Profile Picks Camping
Profile picks camping also made an appearance a few years ago. You tend to get a bit more money this way than regular camping but the downside is that you can get permanently banned from the system if you remove the location from your profile picks tab before the time that you signed up for is up. How it works:
- Register with the picks camping sign
- Place the location in your picks
- Wait a certain amount of time
- Collect your Second Life linden dollars
Traffic Cone Camping
The third type of camping is the traffic cone method. How it works:
- Find a traffic cone
- Click on it
- Go the location listed on the traffic cone
- Click it at the location again
- Camp for 11 minutes for a few lindens
- Repeat as desired
To make the camping process even easier and earn more lindens doing it many players are using camping bots. These Second Life bots, also known as macros, are basically programs designed to do camping and other tasks for you while you go the work, school, or even sleep. So all you have to do is start up your SL macro and have it automatically accumulate lindens while go about other things.

How To Invest Your SL Linden Dollars Wisely

After the ban on gambling back in 2007, Second Life’s residents had somewhat reduced opportunities on where and how to spend their Linden dollars (Second Life currency).
Casinos and gambling used to be a significant part of the SL economy. The US government, however, prohibits most from of online gambling and after an ongoing investigation by the FBI, Linden Lab made a sudden decision to ban gambling.
After the ban, many turned to the world of share trading to make their living. Ironically the world of share trading is seen by many to actually be a lot worse and riskier than gambling in itself.
Second Life’s World Stock Exchange (WSE) is located on its own island. The trading room enables players to buy or sell shares, with Limit Ordering also available. General information is given about different companies as well as stock price history and current trades.
Investing in the stock market can be a huge gamble, to lessen the risk its best that you be well informed before you decide to invest your money. SL hints can go a long way in giving you advice and ensuring that you make good money making decisions.

The next Second Life Millionaire

Anshe Chung started her career creating and selling custom animations. She than used the money she made to buy and develop some land in Second Life. This was only the beginning for her. She now owns hundreds of servers’ worth of land , known as Dreamland, which she sells or rents to other people.
Anshe became the first the first person to make 1 million US dollars from the virtual world. She soon became known as the “Rockefeller of Second Life” and was featured in magazines such as Fortune and Business Week.
