Making Second Life Lindens With Surveys

Many residents who are running low on Second Life linden dollars try their hand at survey ATM’s. It is tempting to try them after seeing advertisements on how you can make thousands of linden dollars that way.
Is it really a quick and easy way to make lindens? You’re promised lindens in exchange for giving your email address and completing a survey. In reality it’s usually some offer or promotional trick and as you’ll find out soon enough, new surveys are hard to find. Also most ATM’s use the same survey but have different payouts. So once you’ve completed a survey and you find it again later at a location that paid more, you can’t fill it out again.
Completing surveys used to be a decent way of making SL money but most of the big-name companies that used to pay out have all but disappeared from Second Life:
- Hippiepay
- Welfare Island
- Rave Pharm
If you do decide to complete surveys be sure to use an alternate email address and don’t expect them to pay. The large survey sites have gone out of business and what’s left are smaller companies that can’t pay out as much.
