How to Use a Second Life Avatar Editor

Once you have signed up your account, you’ll be ready to start customizing your character using the Second Life Avatar Editor. There are literally thousands of configurations that you can use to completely customize your avatar. Whether you want it to reflect your own persona, or you’re going for something completely different, it is a lot of fun to try out different options for your avatar. Here are some tips on how to get the most out of the SL avatar editor.
First, you’ll need to download the avatar that you want to start with. This will the base model for your configurations. Once you have that done, the first place to start is the overall appearance of your Second Life avatar. You’ll be able to select different facial characteristics, eye color and hair color in this step. It is best to take your time with this step to make sure that you get everything right. If you’re not sure, you can just save your progress so far and come back to it later.
Once you’ve gotten the face and body of your avatar perfect, you can move onto clothing. You can change the type of clothes your avatar is wearing, their colors and pretty much anything about the apparel. It is best to try out a few different looks until you find the one that works best for your individual needs.
This game is one of the few out there that allows for such intense customization. Take advantage of this and have fun while you design your SL avatar!
