How To Make Second Life Linden Dollars - Camping

Camping in SL is one of the easiest and common methods to earn Second Life linden dollars. Linden Lab got stricter with campers a few years ago; however, it still remains largely popular. Here are three types of camping.
General Camping
The way general Second Life camping works is simple, in exchange for some money, your avatar sits in one place and creates traffic for land or shop owners. With Linden Lab clamping down on camping that payouts have gotten smaller over time but it’s still a real easy way to make a few extra lindens.
Profile Picks Camping
Profile picks camping also made an appearance a few years ago. You tend to get a bit more money this way than regular camping but the downside is that you can get permanently banned from the system if you remove the location from your profile picks tab before the time that you signed up for is up. How it works:
- Register with the picks camping sign
- Place the location in your picks
- Wait a certain amount of time
- Collect your Second Life linden dollars
Traffic Cone Camping
The third type of camping is the traffic cone method. How it works:
- Find a traffic cone
- Click on it
- Go the location listed on the traffic cone
- Click it at the location again
- Camp for 11 minutes for a few lindens
- Repeat as desired
To make the camping process even easier and earn more lindens doing it many players are using camping bots. These Second Life bots, also known as macros, are basically programs designed to do camping and other tasks for you while you go the work, school, or even sleep. So all you have to do is start up your SL macro and have it automatically accumulate lindens while go about other things.
